A Journey Between Light & Darkness

Séverine – The Soul Behind DreamOn

DreamOn was born from my heart. Not from a business plan, and not from the idea of simply opening another online shop. It was born during a time that changed my life.

I have experienced how close light and darkness can sometimes be. How intense life can feel when suddenly everything falls apart. When you love, lose, hope, doubt, hold on – and eventually have to realize that the only way forward is through all these feelings.

I experienced the absolute lowest point. The point where much of what once seemed certain was no longer there. Where I barely recognized myself anymore, yet somewhere deep inside I knew that my story could not end here.

And it was there, in the midst of this darkness, that I discovered my own starry sky.

Something began to change. Very quietly at first. I began to understand what I really want from life, what is important to me, what fulfills me – and what is slowly breaking me. I learned to look closer, to trust my own perception, and to walk my path, even if others do not always understand it.

And from this starry sky, something eventually emerged that showed me the way. Perhaps that is also where the path to DreamOn began.

What I Could Not Say, I Began to Create

So much was inside me: love, pain, longing, hope, memories, and dreams. Feelings for which words were sometimes not enough. Things I could not say or that found no resonance.

But all of it had to go somewhere. So I began to create. Moods became scents, thoughts became messages, memories became small details, and dark moments became light.

And somewhere between it all, DreamOn was born.

DreamOn became my language for everything that lived inside me and found no other expression. Here, the light was allowed to have its place just as much as the darkness, the magical alongside the vulnerable, hope alongside sadness, and letting go alongside everything that nevertheless remains a part of us.

Perhaps that is why you find so many stars, moons, scents, symbols, and small messages at DreamOn. They are not simply decoration. They carry stories. Some of them are known to no one but me – and that is exactly how it should be.

Because not everything needs an explanation. Some things are simply allowed to have meaning.

From Australia to Switzerland

The story of DreamOn began in Australia. A place that will forever remain an important part of my life. My children and a significant part of my family live there – and that is also where the idea of DreamOn began to take shape. I brought much of it back with me: impressions, memories, inspiration, and the first ideas of what DreamOn could one day become.

But my heart beats for Switzerland. Today, my little studio is located here – where my heart calls home.

My candles are made by hand here. Here I experiment, discard ideas again, combine scents, test waxes, wicks, and materials, and sometimes start all over again, even though I thought a product was long finished.

That is why some new things take a little longer at DreamOn. Not because I lack ideas – quite the opposite. But because I only want to put a product in the shop when it truly feels like DreamOn to me. I want to know how a candle burns down, how a scent develops in the room, whether the individual elements harmonize with each other, and whether in the end exactly that special feeling I imagined is created.

Because so much of me is in what I create: my ideas, my hands, my time, my standards, and my story.

For me, DreamOn is not simply work. It is a part of me.

Between the Stars and the Here & Now

When DreamOn was born, the world around it was still very much shaped by the universe. Stars, the moon, darkness, and this feeling of something greater than ourselves were reflected not only in my products, but also in the entire appearance of DreamOn. That was no coincidence. It was exactly the world from which DreamOn had emerged.

But DreamOn is also evolving – just like me. Over time, I have realized that I do not want to lose this special, sometimes mystical side. It belongs to me, and it will always belong to DreamOn. But we also live here and now.

We drink our coffee in the morning, have long days, love and miss, rejoice over an unexpected message, or sometimes simply need five minutes of peace. And sometimes we look for a gift for someone we want to say something to, for which we ourselves lack the right words.

And that is exactly where I want DreamOn to be today: somewhere between the stars and real life.

The magic may remain. The symbols, the moon, and the stars may remain. But alongside them, DreamOn may be light, modern, warm, and real.

Perhaps that is why DreamOn has visibly changed within its first year. Some things became calmer and clearer, products continued to evolve, and my own idea of what DreamOn is meant to be has grown with it. For me, this change does not mean moving away from the beginnings, but taking them with me and allowing something new to emerge from them.

DreamOn does not have to choose between magic and reality. Both are allowed to exist side by side. Because perhaps it is precisely in the very ordinary here and now that we sometimes need a little bit of magic.

What You Find at DreamOn

  • Hand-poured candles with meaning
  • Special gift & ritual sets
  • Spell jars & small messages from the heart
  • Incense & special scents
  • Moon phase jewelry & personal keepsakes
  • Gemstones & handcrafted one-of-a-kind pieces

Every product is selected with great care or developed and crafted by me. Not to be perfect, but to touch something. A candle that makes an evening a little more special. A scent that suddenly brings back a memory. A gift where someone feels: You were thinking of me. Or a small ritual that reminds us to pause for a moment.

Because sometimes we cannot put into words what is going on inside us.

Sometimes feelings need a different language. DreamOn became mine.

Today I know that something painful can become something beautiful. That we do not have to forget or leave everything behind to move forward. And that love does not simply have to disappear.

Sometimes it only changes its form. Mine has found a place: DreamOn. 💫♾️

With love,
Séverine
